Simplicity in Black

If you follow my daily style journey with me, you will see that I'm a big fan of an all black outfit. I love a crisp, structured black on black look and this look is one of my favs. I have to admit, I feel so comfortable and confident in this sort of look. And although my style changes daily almost, based on my mood or occasion, lately I feel this is who I am, or maybe who I want to be and how I want to dress. 

I actually got this structured black midi dress a couple sizes bigger than what I would normally wear, because I wanted it to look nice and proper, but I didn't want to completely attach to my skin like a body con dress. I wanted room for breathing ready, and I think thats the key to comfort, specially for dresses like these that are so office, work or meeting appropriate. In this case the stretchy fabric holds the shape of the dress and won't let it drape down if its a bigger size. I also love the midi length and the long sleeves, mainly because they complement that slit so well. You show just enough skin to look more put together but still sexy.

As for the coat, I think it looks so much better just sitting on the shoulders. I think if weather allowed, I'd always wear them like this. Thats also because when the coat rests on the shoulders, the outfit underneath is more noticeable and your 'look' looks more complete.

I completed this look with some of my favourite everyday accessories, my everyday bag that goes with anything really, and the beautiful Valentino Rocktud Slingbacks (I love 'em <3)...
