The Pink Floating House

(Zara Coat, Reformed Dress from Urban OutfittersNine West Bag, Zara Boots)

Last week, had a relative visiting us here in Vancouver which called for more sight seeing for which I put on one of my most comfortable heels ever: These Zara Boots. One of my favourite places to go is Granville Island. I like the process of getting on a ferry to get to the other side and the whole concept of it. But, I'd never come across this pink house which is actually floating on the water. How cool is that. There are 6 of them but this colour was definitely standing out. And the last picture is the door of one of the shops, which I'd never seen before, probably because it was always open.

*These pictures were taken by an Iphone btw, Hence the quality. But I do like the pop of pink in this post, livens up my blog :)*

Pilot Hat

(Hat via Goorin Bros Hat Shop, Zara Collar, Wilfred Jacket, American Eagle Jeans, Alexander Wang Diego Bucket Bag, Jeffrey Campbell Nation H Booties)

My brother's hat which I stole for the day. I guess there will be an element of surprise if he sees this post. He usually doesn't allow me to wear his hats because "they're too big for me", but I beg to differ. I was going for comfort, warmth and casual that day hence the jeans and the parka-like jacket. I've noticed I've been wearing a lot of pants lately, something I refused to wear last year for some reason. Also matched my Alexander Wang Diego Bucket bag with my Jeffrey Campbell Nation H booties. Next to each other, I think they look like a match. But then again, can you go wrong with black? x

And Then the Outside

(Zara White Coat, Zara Grey Coat,  Knit Sweater (by mom), Zara Leggings, Aldo Heels, Dior Sunglasses)

At times I find wearing only one coat is not warm enough and I end up wishing I had a big puffy jacket to keep me warm, but layering up on coats is another option, which is slightly more practical for me since I have a few. I love this grey coat, which fits so well and the white coat is perfect to wear on top since it's slightly over size.

It's What's Inside That Counts

(Zara Coats, DIY Knit Sweater (by mom), Zara Leggings, Aldo Heels, Dior Sunglasses)

I decided to make this outfit a two-parter. A- because I can't remember if I wore this sweater (another one of my mom's creations) in another post on my blog since I wore it almost everyday for sometime, And B- I wanted to separate the two outfits since the coats are pretty big and block what I'm wearing inside. But this sweater is so soft, comfortable and warm.

The Collar

( Zara Collar, H&M Leopard Print Blouse, American Eagle Jeans, Alexander Wang Caroline Plantform Booties, Michael Kors Watch)

I have to admit I love this new trend of accessorized collars and I finally found one for me. I would also love one that has pearls on it.

Erin Wasson's Appartment

(Images via The Selby)

This is actually from a couple of years ago I think, but I love Erin Wasson's apartment and I thought I would revisit it by posting it. I love how laid back her place is, much like her style. To see more pictures of Erin Wasson's apartment click here.

Hooded

(Zara Coat, Urban Outfitters Pants, Bag from Florence Street Market, Alexander Wang Caroline Platform Booties)

This coat reminds me of a cloak with it's hood. I find it very practical to wear when there are only a few drops of rain here and there since I can cover my hair.

Caroline

(Alexander Wang Caroline Platform Booties from SSENSE)

I'm so in love and obsessed with Alexander Wang designs that I have a separate wish list devoted only for his items. I loved these booties the minute I saw the black and white version of them but love them even more in full black. I had started saving up for them for some time and was determined to own a pair. The fact that they were finally on sale, and still available in my size was the cherry on top. They are so very comfortable to my surprise as I was doubtful because of the thin heel and I've been wearing them almost everywhere. I'm so happy the weather's been on my side too with all the sunshine to allow me to wear them comfortably and without a worry.

Cold Shoulder

( Sweater knit by mom, Silence + Noise Pants, Aldo Hills, Michael Kors Coin Purse, DIY Knit Ring by Me)

This is by far my favourite sweater my mom made for me. I love the colour, the details and the cut-out shoulders. When I asked her for the shoulder cut offs I couldn't imagine how she was going to do it, but there you have it.

Ray of Sun

(Coat: DKNY, Sweater: Silence+Noise, Denim Shirt: BDG, Jeans: American Eagle, Heels: Aldo)

I came across this outfit that I wore late last fall and it somehow never made it to my blog. I remember that day being extremely sunny and beautiful, perfect for red pumps and a short walk along the park and the sea walk :)

Green Fence

(Faux Fur Coat: H&M, Top: H&M, Shorts: H&M, Heels: Aldo, Bracelets: Aldo/DIY/Marc Jacobs/Expression and Fossil)
